A school’s day is not only in the classroom. There is the register, the fee counter, the defaulters list and the cash at closing time. Orbex handles those, so teachers can get on with teaching.

A day in the school office

Four moments every school office knows, and what Orbex does at each.

  1. The registers are marked before assembly ends

    Class teachers mark attendance on their phones. By the first bell the office can see who is absent, who is late, and which classes have not been marked yet.

  2. A parent pays for two children at one counter

    The clerk finds the family, ticks the challans, takes the cash and prints one receipt. Both children’s ledgers and the counter’s total update together.

  3. The accounts office follows up on unpaid fees

    Unpaid fees are listed oldest first, with the parent’s number beside them. One tap opens WhatsApp with the message and the challan link already written.

  4. The cash is counted and the day is closed

Do I pay per student?

No. You pay a flat monthly price for your plan, which covers a number of campuses and students; staff logins are unlimited. When you outgrow it you move up a plan from that day, and the next bill is at the new price.

What happens after the free trial?

Your school keeps every record it entered. If you subscribe, nothing moves. If you do not, the school is suspended and you can ask for a full export of your data.

Can you move our data from our current software?

Yes. We map students, families, fee history and balances from your old system or your Excel sheets, and you check the opening balances before the first challan is printed.

Is it cheaper to pay for a year?

Yes. Paid yearly, every plan costs ten months instead of twelve. A yearly payment can also be split in two, one in April and one in August.

Do parents need an app?

No. A clerk sends a parent their challan on WhatsApp as a link; it opens on any phone without a login and can be printed or paid at the bank.

Is there a setup fee?

Moving your records from your old software or Excel, checking the opening balances with you and training your staff is a one-time fee: Rs 25,000 for a school of up to 600 students, quoted above that. It is waived when you pay for a year up front.

Does it print our own challans and result cards?

Yes — with your school's name, logo and colours, never ours. Bank challans print as three copies on one A4 sheet.

Who can see our school's data?

Only your staff, each limited to what their role allows. Our support team cannot open your school unless you approve a time-limited session, and every action they take is logged.
